And what it does not do with it. In plain words, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
The seven books are read and downloaded without giving anything: no name, no email, no account.
You only leave something if you choose to write to the author or to leave a testimonial on the French side. Nothing is sold, nothing is traded, nothing is handed to an advertiser.
This site places no cookie on your device and uses no outside measurement tool: no Google Analytics, no pixel, no social button that follows you from one site to the next. Your text size and the page you stopped at stay on your own device and are never sent anywhere.
So the author knows how many people read him, every page opened writes one line: the date, the page, the country, and where the link came from.
Your IP address is not kept. For one second it is mixed with today’s date and a secret to compute a one-way code: that code cannot be turned back into you, and it is different tomorrow. Nobody can be followed from one day to the next.
Writing to the author opens your own mail program, and your message goes straight to his mailbox — this site keeps no copy of it.
The French side has a form and a testimonial page. What they keep, and for how long, is set out on the French page: name, email and message, kept only to answer you, erased on request.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Messages and counter lines are therefore kept on servers that may sit outside Quebec, in the United States among other places, under the laws of the country they sit in.
You may ask to see what is kept about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or have a testimonial taken off the site. One line to the address below is enough, and the answer comes within thirty days at the latest.
